Catch AADHum scholars Dr. La Marr Jurelle Bruce (UMD) and Dr. Jessica Marie Johnson (Johns Hopkins), working with us to think about the place of Black digital studies and #BlackDH in our personal and institutional conceptualizations of Black Studies. This conversation will be moderated by Dr. Marcia Chatelain (Georgetown).

Join AADHum scholar Brienne Adams (UMD) in conversation with Elizabeth Alexander (Cornell), Rianna Walcott (Kings College London), and Christin Washington (UMD). They will discuss the challenges and opportunities of engaging #BlackDH projects as part of doctoral study, in a conversation moderated by former AADHum graduate scholar Dr. Kimberly Bain (Tufts).

Immediately following, we will also be joined by scholars from across the faculty spectrum, who will reflect on strategies for integrating digital approaches across their different institutional lifeworlds. This roundtable discussion will feature AADHum scholars Dr. Merle Collins (UMD) and Dr. Amaka Okechukwu (George Mason), and also Associate Dean of Arts and Humanities and Co-PI for Enslaved.org, Dr. Daryle Williams (UMD). This conversation will be moderated by Dr. Schuyler Esprit, founder and director of Create Caribbean, and Research Officer, School of Graduate Studies and Research, The University of the West Indies.
